February 15th is Flag Day

FLAG DAY 2026 WEBSITE (2)

In 1964 Parliament voted to adopt a new design for the Canadian Flag and called for submissions.  Close to 4000 designs were submitted.  Submission came on many materials including tissue paper, wall paper, pieces of cloth etc.  Many used cutouts from magazines and post cards.   The final design was announced on Dec 15, 1964.  The official ceremony inaugurating the new red and white Maple Leaf flag was held on Feb 15th, 1965.  Feb 15th was then declared Flag Day in Canada.

This is a great opportunity to try our beautiful hand sewn nylon appliqued flags made at our factory in Barrie, ON.
Made with exceptional attention to craftsmanship and detail.  The red bars and maple leaf are sewn together resulting in a vibrant, rich appearance. These flags are made of 100% heavyweight nylon 200 denier fabric.
