GO CANADA GO!

November 11th

In Flanders Fields, the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
the torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

25ft Formenta Flag Pole in Beautiful Mulmar

We love receiving photos from our customers and seeing where our products live. 🏡 Herb sent us this great photo of his newly installed 25′ Formenta external halyard flagpole and flag, in Mulmar, ON. What a great job he did with the installation! It looks beautiful!
Although we don’t like to pick favourites, I think we would all agree that this Formenta fiberglass flagpole is our favourite 😊 They stand tall all around the world 🌏 We are proudly the North American distributor for the Formenta flagpole line. These quality flagpoles are manufactured in Sweden and are made to last for generations! Did I mention we also install? 🇨🇦🍁

Back To School

It’s hard to believe the Labour Day long Weekend it already upon us.  As the kids get ready for Back to School we wonder where the summer went .

Here is a little history of this long weekend.  Labour Day, the first Monday in September, has been a statutory holiday in Canada since 1894.  Historically, workers marked the day with various activities. These included parades, speeches, games, amateur competitions and picnics. The holiday promoted working-class solidarity and belonging during a time of  industrialization. Since the Second World War, fewer and fewer people have participated in Labour Day activities. Regardless,  it remains a statutory holiday. Many Canadians now spend the Labour Day holiday relaxing and having family time and preparing for the return to school.

Progress Pride Flag

What is the Progress Pride Flag?

Red=Life

Orange=Healing

Yellow=New Ideas/Sunlight

Green=Prosperity/Nature

Blue=Serenity/Harmony

Violet=Spirit

Black/Brown=People of Color

White/Blue/Pink=Trans Community

Designed in 2018 by Graphic designer Daniel Quasar, Quasar added a five-colored chevron to the classic Rainbow Flag to place a greater emphasis on “inclusion and progression.” Quasar’s Progress Pride Flag added five arrow-shaped lines to the six-colored Rainbow Flag, which is widely recognized as the symbol of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBTQ+) community.

The flag includes black and brown stripes to represent marginalized LGBTQ+ communities of color, along with the colors pink, light blue and white, which are used on the Transgender Pride Flag.
